AIESEC is a global, independent,
non-political, not-for-profit organization run by students and recent graduates
of institution of higher education. It was founded shortly after the World War
II in 1948 with the aim of decreasing inter-cultural misunderstanding and
conflict and provide positive leadership for the world. Its over 50,000 members
are interested in world issues, leadership and management.
AIESEC does not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, sex, sexual
orientation, creed, religion, national or ethnic origin.
AIESEC was introduced to Nigeria in 1961 with the establishment
of AIESEC
Ibadan in the University of Ibadan. Over the years, the
organization has taken root in several other Nigerian universities.
As an organization, our focus involves human capital/youth development.
