LC UPDATE

Hey AIESEC!I hope everyones doing good.IM unit apologizes for being off the grid for a while.We are finaaly back, big and better.
Here are some updates for this week:
* Project CANCER: The seminar and awareness of Project cancer took place on 13th and 14th April 2011 at the SRC chamber and (Queens Hall and Awo all respectively.).
Screening for Cervical Cancer comes up this saturday (more information coming your way). For more information, please contact VPP: Adedugbe Dzeri or mail him at babfemi.adedugbe@aiesec.net
* NC Enugu comes up on the 24th April 2012 at the Universal Hotel, Enugu. Its a conference no AIESECer will want to miss. The appointed LOD is Tokunbo Salako so interested AIESECers should please contact him. #whisper:the transport fee is free so its a once in an experiential cycle chance# dont miss it
* Legislative meeting comes up today by 4:30pm at the SRC chambers, AIESECers are expected to be formally dressed and punctual. Thanks

About us


AIESEC is a global, independent, non-political, not-for-profit organization run by students and recent graduates of institution of higher education. It was founded shortly after the World War II in 1948 with the aim of decreasing inter-cultural misunderstanding and conflict and provide positive leadership for the world. Its over 50,000 members are interested in world issues, leadership and management.
AIESEC does not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, sex, sexual orientation, creed, religion, national or ethnic origin.
AIESEC was introduced to Nigeria in 1961 with the establishment of AIESEC Ibadan in the University of Ibadan. Over the years, the organization has taken root in several other Nigerian universities.
As an organization, our focus involves human capital/youth development. For 50 years, we have consistently achieved this by:
I.               Creating numerous leadership opportunities for our members
II.             Offering quality international internships (exchange)
III.            Providing a global learning environment in which members get high quality and practical professional experience
IV.           Utilizing the international platform offered by AIESEC to connect our members to over 50,000 AIESECers from 1100 universities in all continents of the world.
